Managing Your Account

How do I set up an account?

Visit our registration page and sign up. You will be asked for your details, an email will be sent to your registered email address to confirm registration and you can begin to place your orders.

What happens if I have forgotten my password?

At the login page you will have three chances to enter your password before you will be prompted to request a new one. The new password will then be sent to your registered e-mail address, use it to log onto your account and you will then have the option to change it.

How do I change my password?

If you wish to change your password, this can be done by logging into your account and selecting 'My Account > My Account' at the top right of the screen.

How do I change my details?

You can update your login details at any time. You will need to login and go to the 'My Account > My Account' screen. Here you simply type your new email address or password into the text field and then click the 'Save' button.

Saving delivery addresses

When you initially register you are asked for your invoicing address, but you can store, edit and delete multiple delivery addresses for later selection when you go through the checkout procedure. To use this facility you must be logged into your account. It is accessed from the 'My Account > Delivery Addresses' screen.

The site says my email address is already in use

It is most likely that you are already registered, or have previously purchased from us.

Please request your password using the automated password finder facility then login as an 'Existing Online Customer' (Do not attempt to re-register).

I cannot complete registration - the page loops back to login

The Nisbets website uses cookies to store information that you enter, such as the contents of your basket. If your browser has been set to reject cookies, or you are using security software such as a Firewall that rejects cookies, you may find that the site fails.

Please configure your software (Firewall, browser etc) to accept cookies from nisbets.co.uk. If you do not know how to do this you may need to consult your software help files.

We have found that AOL users who have not logged in as the main 'Screen Name' for their account, or who have parental controls engaged have problems using the secure areas of the site. If you are an AOL user having this type of problem then please consult AOL technical advice concerning use of 'Screen Names' and parental controls.

How do I request a catalogue?

To receive our catalogue, you can either go to the home screen, scroll down and select ‘Request a catalogue’ or register with us. From here, you can request a catalogue to be sent to you free of charge. We produce two new catalogues a year, which are released every February and September.

Getting your statement, copy invoices and credit notes

If you have a credit account you can view and print your statement, invoices and credit notes online. They are accessed from the 'My Account > Statements' screen. You will need to be logged in to use this facility.

I already have a credit facility which I want to use online

The site looks strange or is unusable because some areas are overlapping or text is missing

Cached files can disrupt site display

Try refreshing the page by pressing F5 on your keyboard, or the refresh button on your browser toolbar.

Make sure that you regularly empty your Temporary Internet Files folder to prevent old files interfering with the display of new content on websites.

Browsers

The site is optimised for use on a 1024 x 768 monitor using IE8 or higher as well as Chrome, Firefox and Safari for Apple Mac. If you are using a browser not on this list, or an old version of these browsers you may experience problems with the display of the site.

Disabled style sheets

Some users may have disabled style sheets in favour of using their own. This will disrupt the display of our site, which relies on this technology.

Disabled Pop-Ups and JavaScript

Key areas of the site (address finder and credit card details form) use JavaScript. If you have chosen to disable JavaScript, or are running a pop-up blocker the site may fail.
