Recycling of Old Electrical Equipment UK WEEE Directive
On the 2nd January 2007 the UK Government enacted legislation in line with the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. As a result, from July 2007 all electrical products are required to be recycled at the end of their useful life. This regulation outlines rules for the collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of electrical waste.
As a producer and importer for the business to business market, Nisbets feel the best way to achieve compliance is to offer a collection and responsible disposal service which is charged as and when required, at the end of the product life.
By charging at 'end of life' we are confident that this will ensure our charges are a fair reflection of the true costs incurred. It is not our intention to view this as a profit making exercise.

Historic And Current WEEE
Nisbets have decided to adopt a universal policy for both Historic WEEE (items purchased before April 2005) and Current WEEE (purchased after April 2005). This means that, in addition to the collection and disposal of our obligatory compliance products, if you wish to order a replacement for an old unit (irrespective of brand or when it was purchased, and for the charge outlined) Nisbets will also collect the old unit at the time of delivering the replacement. To arrange this, please contact our sales line 0845 1405555.
Please note that if our collection and disposal service is required, all old units have to be unplugged or disconnected, empty and ready for collection.
