Cinders Barbecue Company was established in 1984 by Bill Cooke, an employee of British Gas who was tasked with the design of a new barbecue for a charity function. The BBQ was a smash hit and the design was patented. Complete UK distribution followed and the company grew rapidly. In 1992 the company had to relocate to a larger location and by 2000 had expanded into the European and American export market. Ideal for a diverse range of catering establishments, the original 1984 Cinders original barbecue has since been significantly redesigned for modern commercial demands, however it still includes many of the key features that shaped the Cinders Company success 30 years ago. The humble beginnings to national recognition was very much like a fairy-tale sucess - and the brand name Cinders was born.
